Meet
Nancy Hernandez (she/her/ella)
Nancy Hernandez is a school psychology doctoral student at Michigan State University, offering individual therapy and psychological evaluations for children and adolescents ages 4 to 17. She is passionate about providing culturally responsive care and supporting bilingual families through every step of the therapeutic process.
Nancy works with clients experiencing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and learning difficulties. With a warm, approachable presence, she creates a supportive and engaging space where young clients can explore emotions, build skills, and grow in confidence. Nancy is particularly excited about deepening her work with bilingual and Spanish-speaking populations, integrating cultural understanding into each aspect of her care.
Her approach is collaborative and developmentally appropriate, with a strong interest in working with children who have neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD and autism. She is also eager to support immigration psychological evaluations and views this work as a meaningful way to advocate for families and individuals navigating complex systems.
Working with Nancy
Nancy provides individual therapy and psychoeducational or psychological assessments for clients ages 4–17. She is bilingual and offers services in both English and Spanish. Nancy welcomes clients from all backgrounds and is committed to offering affirming, culturally grounded care.
As a clinical intern, she is able to offer free or low-cost therapy sessions, with a cash pay rate of $0–$50 per session.
Nancy practices under the supervision of Rebecca Gomez de Tuinstra, Ph.D., LP.
